USFL licensing for Referees, Judges, Inspectors and Matchmakers

Even the most experienced MMA officials need to learn and apply youth rules while keeping up with sustainment training and vetting.

The Cost for the annual licensing certificate is $6
A Criminal Background and Federal SafeSport Compliance Training  is required every two years for $25.  Officials will take Free Supplemental Health & Safety online training to include Concussion, SafeSport and general USFL rules in years where Background check is not required.
SPORTS ENGINE CRIMINAL HISTORY SCREENING & SAFETY TRAINING : Officials & Matchmakers

USFL Officials are screened for convictions of sex offenses & crimes against children and require training in compliance with the Federal SafeSport Act.

Required for Matchmakers, Referees, Inspectors and Volunteers Recommended for Judges

This will cost $25.50 and is good for two years.

In this Session you will obtain Training and Information on: 

USFL Code of Conduct 
Safe Sport Protocols
Concussions
Dangers of Dehydration
Your final step will be an emailed link to complete your online Abuse Prevention Systems Course. 

You may bypass these requirements if you can provide proof of the following:

1. Completed/Passed a Criminal Background check from another Sports federation (within 2 years)
2. Have a Certificate of completion for the CDC Coaches Heads Up Concussion Course (within 1 year)
3. Certificate/ Documented proof of completion of one of the following: (Within 2 years)
Safe Sport Certificate
Mandatory Reporter Certificate
Abuse Prevention Certificate
Darkness to Light Certificate

Certain criminal convictions of violence may require a waiver.  

Convicted Sex offenders, Convictions of crimes against children and other egregious offenses cannot be waived.

Stand Alone Abuse Prevention System (ABS) Training is available for $5.

This will cost $6

 First Create a Profile               

Then click "JOIN" on the United States Fight League Federation Page 

Once registration is completed and all licensing documents uploaded, a PDF of your actual license will appear on your personal profile page. This may take up to 48 hrs, check back for rejection message if  your license does not appear.

JUDGE TRAINING/ QUIZ: Every Year

 

 In order to remove damage and brutality from the scoring criteria, the USFL does not utilize the 10 point must system. Instead a complex point system developed to award successful application of Mixed Martial Art technique is used as the judging criteria.

Referees are the most important officials for the USFL 

New Referees should compete this period of Instruction. 

Referees who are between years for Background or SafeSport/ Abuse Prevention Systems must complete this as sustainment training. 

This is not a test but a method to reinforce information that is required.

New Inspectors should compete this period of Instruction.

MATCHMAKER/ PROMOTER TRAINING: Years when Sports Engine is not Done.

Matchmaker's pair youth athletes for competition and are the direct liaison between the USFL and Promoter helping  ensure the regulatory and safety standards of the competition are met.

New Matchmaker's should compete this period of Instruction. 

Matchmaker's who are between years for Background or SafeSport/ Abuse Prevention Systems must complete this as sustainment training. 

This is not a test but a method to reinforce information that is required.
