US TEAM SELECTION CRITERIA

See List of U.S. NATIONAL TEAM CANDADATES 

USA can select 2 athletes per age and weight category in priority order:
1. Top 2 placing athletes from that division in nationals
2. Lower placing athletes from that division in nationals
3. Athletes from other divisions at nationals
Athletes must participate in U.S. nationals and have a U.S. Passport

NOTE – IMMAF has same day weigh ins with Rash Guard and Shorts so qualify at a weight at nationals you will be able to make at worlds!

A. PAY COMPETITION FEES

$200 – Athletes
$100 – Coaches and Team Delegates
Zele payments to the USFL account followed by a text indicating payment was made and name of individual. We have to send bulk payment to IMMAF.
Use 949 813-1041 to Zele funds and text follow up for confirmation

B. IMMAF ANNUAL PHYSICAL IS REQUIRED

All required information must be entered and the physical MUST be signed by a Medical Doctor.
Late or rejected physicals will carry a IMMAF late fee.
Everything to include eye sight/ vision must be filled in!

C. ORDER TEAM USA UNIFORM

IMMAF will issue RashGuard, Shorts, Gloves & Shinguards
Youth Athletes and Coaches need a Team USA Warm Up.
**Last years White Polo and White Pants is OK.
This years design is darker blue with blue pants. Approx. cost $60

D. REGISTER FOR WORLDS IN SMOOTHCOMP

Once officially accepted on the Team, Athletes must do the following on smoothcomp:
1. Make a head shot only profile photo
2. Make sure Nationality is listed as USA
3. Join Team USA (Academy) 
4. Register to the World Championships

E. REGISTER IN IMMAF RANKING APP

Athletes must have a IMMAF belt rank to participate.
Directions:
Download IMMAF app on android or IOS
Select Orange Belt (No need to fill in fight stats)
Select Jon Frank and coach and he will take care of the cost.

F. GET TRAVEL/ MEDICAL INSURANCE

Team Members must obtain individual insurance for travel to Abu Dhabi.

Any adult receiving credentials for the floor must be USFL licensed
The background and Abuse Prevention or Safe Sport must be within 2 years

KEY TIMELINES

May 20th – Qualification Tournament
June 12th – Confirm acceptance of them spot
June 15th – Entry Fees paid to secure spot
June 16th – Alternates selection deadline for open spots
July 11th – Physicals completed (late fees after)
July 17th – Media Requests

SCHEDULE

-Monday 31st July – Arrivals
All delegates arrive and check in at the hotel.
-Tuesday 1st August – Tournament Check-In, Accreditation
Tournament Check-In & Accreditation – 9.00am to 4.00 pm @ Millennium Al Rawdah Hotel.
*Time of the draw will be communicated 1 week prior to the event start date.
-Wednesday 2nd August – Day 1 of competition (Youth C/ 12-13yrs)
Weigh ins & Medicals – 7:00am to 8:00am (at the venue) Competition starts at 10:00am
-Thursday 3rd August – Day 2 of competition (Youth B/ 14-15yrs)
Weigh ins & Medicals – 7:00am to 8:00am (at the venue) Competition starts at 10:00am
-Friday 4th August – Day 3 of competition (**Youth A/ 16-17yrs)
Weigh ins & Medicals – 7:00am to 8:00am (at the venue) Competition starts at 10:00am
Female – 3 divisions: Atomweight, Strawweight & Flyweight.
Male – 4 divisions: Strawweight, Flyweight, Bantamweight & Featherweight
-Saturday 5th August – Day 4 of competition (**Youth A/ 16-17yrs)
Weigh ins & Medicals – 7:00am to 8:00am (at the venue) Competition starts at 10:00am
Female – 3 divisions: Bantamweight, Featherweight,
Lightweight & Welterweight.
Male – 4 divisions Lightweight, Welterweight, Middleweight, Light Heavyweight &Heavyweight.

Attention: The schedule may be modified according to the total number of entries and circumstances of competition.

AGE GROUPS

Youth category C 12 – 13 years old
The athlete must not be under the age of 12 years or aged 14 years before the 1st day of competition and must be within this age band until the competition has been completed. Aug 2nd

Youth category B 14 – 15 years old
The athlete must not be under the age of 14 years or aged 16 years before 1st day of competition and must be within this age band until the competition has been completed. Aug 3rd

Youth category A 16-17 years old
The athlete must not be under the age of 16 years or aged 18 years before 1st day of competition and must be within this age band until the competition has been completed. Aug 4th or Aug 5th depending on division above
